Grameen organizations have come forward with various programs to tackle the pandemic Covid-19 across Bangladesh since the start of the crisis. It is imperative to secure the protection of the Police, Army and Rapid Action Batallion (RAB) members, who have been working tirelessly to ensure the safety of life and property of the people in this emergency situation to discourage people from leaving their homes unnecessarily, to raise health awareness and to distribute relief among the needy, also to bury those deceased from Covid-19, as they continue to carry out their responsibilities. Separately, Grameen Telecom has made efforts over the last weeks to protect front-line medical care providers and organizations that are working tirelessly to cope with the Corona pandemic.
Grameen Telecom has provided 3 thousand PPEs, 50 thousand disposable medical masks and 2 thousand K N95 masks to the Police force; 50 thousand disposable medical masks each to the Army and RAB.
